Fly me to the Moon

I love this song, sung by good ol' Frank ;) These lyrics vary a little from the video :O

The semi formal is tonight! :D

This is more 1930s than 1920s, but when do Fred and Ginger ever NOT inspire me? ;)

I'm a sucker for....

A good Chanel No 5 commercial ;)

Miss Keira Knightley

Ms. Nicole Kidman

Miss Audrey Tautou

This Summer I want to....

visit Howe Caverns

There's something about caves with paved floors that's just so appealing right now...:)

and handrails. there's handrails too!

and fun "mood" lighting!

ok, so maybe this is not a REAL cave, after having a teacher in 5th grade that was obsessed with rock climbing and caving, I learned that, but still! It's so cool! I remember going here for field trips in elementary school and once or twice with my family. I think it's an appealing place to go to on a hot hot day (since it's so far underground, the temperature is always in the 60s!)

oh, yeah, AND...

They do weddings! HOW ADORABLE IS THAT?! :D

Weird Things I like

I'm really really really craving some black olives right now :) They're my FAVORITE. apparently not a lot of people like them though. HOW ODD.

Casting

For my screenwriting class, to help us develop our characters, our teacher told us to cast the lead so we have a visual to reference. My character is a 75 year old woman...you have no idea how hard it is to find actresses that age who do not look like aliens due to one face lift too many, but I found a couple classy ladies here :)

I'm really feeling Shirley Jones, her older movies are fantastic, but she hasn't done anything too serious lately, just a light hearted tv show here or there. Vanessa Redgrave is great too, I love the movies and tv shows she has been in recently. So now, Gale, my character, has a name and a face to put it to...or at least, at the moment, two ;)

Urban Outfitter Cuties

Saw this on the Urban Outfitter website...how cute is it?!?! I'd fill it with orange juice with pulp (my personal favorite!) and sip on it all day. :)

Weird Things I Like

SO excited I have to go grocery shopping today. I always make this elaborate plan of going to two local grocery stores to compare prices and hunting for things I'll be thanking myself for buying later. Last week when I found out oranges and grapefruits were 3 for $1.99 I practically jumped for joy! ;)

"Call Me When You Get This"

This morning I was inspired by Corinne Bailey Rae's "Call Me When you Get This" There are so many beautiful lyrics...

:)

formspring

I love, love, love reading about you. I'm learning more every day. I was inspired by the book "Cheaper by the Dozen"when I was ten. Then I saw the original movie. I loved what I saw and I wanted it too! Only got to seven though. Started too old. :(

:D ONLY SEVEN? man, mom, you're slacking! ;)

Things that made me fall in love with Fashion

Funny Face ;)
THINK PINK!

Here's a video of the song

101 Dalmatians

That section in the fashion house....I drew a million sketches after watching that movie...of course, not with dog's fur :P

Star Wars

While I think the new movies paled in comparison to the classics (yes, I went there...TRL, I am a Star Wars Nerd) and Carrie Fisher's Princess Lea>Natalie Portman's Padme, I will forever remember sitting in the movie theater and gasping over Queen Amidala's outfits...oh yeah, and then I got an encyclopedia about clothing in my hands and found out some of her looks were copied from ancient Asian royalty. I was especially proud of myself when I found out that :P

Breakfast at Tiffany's

I'm so so sorry, this is so so cliche and I feel like every single girl in the world has at one point referenced Breakfast at Tiffany's, especially at Fashion school- it's like The Red Shoes is to dancers- but anyhow, anyone who knows me and has been in my room has seen my countless Audrey photos and knows I pretty much adore her, so I guess it's ok...well, at least pathetic. ANYWAY, it REALLY started when I saw this movie. I was a junior in high school and after this, I started believing sophistication trumps fast fashion. This is the movie that made me want to live in New York City, this is the movie that made me want to write movies, this was the movie that started it all.

that said...
Sabrina

After seeing "Breakfast at Tiffany's" I watched other Audrey movies, one being Sabrina. That made me get my hair cut short. BIG mistake, but life moves on.

What has inspired you?

The opposite of today

I'd live in a desert as long as there wouldn't be rainy cold days. Right now, I'd LOVE some hot dry weather.

Love Injections

this is perhaps the cutest most adorable thing ever, and if that happen to me, I would be SOLD for life...mostly because that's a lot of candy ;)

Semi Formal Fail

This Friday I'm going to my school's semi formal.
The theme:
1920s.
wait, WHAT?

While I believe the 1920s were beautiful and I love the looks, I do not happen to own a single dress that is 1920s inspired-

What I'll probably do is just do up my makeup and hair 1920s style, which is still quite gorgeous...

....I just wish it was 1950s. I have so many perfect cocktail dresses ;)

Ah well. Life moves on. ::le sigh::

THIS

"This is wanting something, this is reaching for it,
This is wishing that a moment would arrive.
This is taking chances, this is almost touching, what the beauty is."
-The Beauty Is, "The Light in the Piazza"

Hilarious!

If you need a good laugh, look up “Notes From Chris”. Artist Todd Lamb posted these around NYC in a Craiglist way. I laughed so hard, but then again, I laugh at everything :P
